How We Build
We use Visual Studio for product development, and Visual Studio Code, PowerShell, GitHub Runners, and GitHub Actions for infrastructure. We follow a trunk-based CI/CD workflow. Branches off main are intentionally short-lived.
Careers at COR Dev Net
COR Dev Net builds technology our customers need and love. Nothing else. We partner for sales and first-call support, so our only focus is designing, building, testing, and improving software for real county operations.

Choosing to be a developer is a lifelong commitment to learn. Our field changes constantly, and staying sharp is not optional. Learning is not extra here; it is essential to the job and to long-term mental acuity.
COR Dev Net is a worker-inclusive cooperative hybrid. After successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, employees begin accruing ownership based on merit and tenure.
Our aspirational work week is a flexible, coordinated 40 hours with core collaboration between 10 AM and 3 PM Eastern. A typical day aims for 6-7 hours working on COR and 1-2 hours doing structured training.
COR Dev Net is BYOD as a way to securely VPN into cloud-based shared development environments.
As COR Dev Net continues to grow, we aim to transition to a four-day work week, alternating Mondays and Fridays so we maintain coverage without accelerating burnout. We are not large enough to guarantee all of this yet, but it is a foundational goal of how we want to operate.
There are no after-hours expectations except genuine emergencies. Our benefits include remote work from any secure, stable internet connection, adherence to our security practices, and a strong focus on work-life balance, learning, and growth.
Expectations for the rest of 2026
COR 3's Desktop module has completed principal development to replace the last legacy COR 2 modules. After acceptance testing, final touches, and full COR 2 decommissioning, we will work through a backlog focused on removing legacy smells and rushed pieces to improve maintainability and future growth.
During this period, we intend to move toward Test-Driven Development and automated testing so our CI/CD pipeline keeps the codebase in a deployable state. Test-Driven Development, advanced xUnit, and Playwright for .NET will be heavy parts of the training agenda.
Time Off and Benefits
14 total paid holidays:
With current small-business options, our health benefits are not where we want them to be. As we grow, and as offerings improve, fixing that will be a top priority.
At our current size, formal paid family leave is not yet feasible. Employees may use PTO and sick leave for family or medical needs, and additional unpaid leave may be approved for significant life events.
As the company grows, we intend to introduce paid parental leave, paid caregiver leave, and periodic sabbaticals for long-term team members.
Annual evaluations occur once per year. Raises and bonuses depend on company financial health and workload capacity. As COR Dev Net grows, we intend to move toward formula-driven COLA, tenure, and merit adjustments.
Employment with COR Dev Net LLC is at-will and may be ended by either party at any time.
